Burton Court, Chelsea
The owners of this flat in the heart of Chelsea requested a full refurbishment that took place under tight deadlines as they were only staying for a short period of time before moving on.
Initially, all electrical sockets were re-positioned and the mains consumer unit updated. The property was provided with a complete new heating system including new combination boiler and all related pipework.
The property had some damp issues due to it being a basement flat and poor quality of guttering had led to rainwater ingress. Plaster was all removed back to brickwork, damp treatment applied and all walls re-rendered with sand and cement mixture.
The two existing ensuite bathrooms were completely removed leaving a bare shell for installation of new, modern designer suites. The walls and floors were tiled using luxury Italian porcelain and concealed thermostatic shower valves used throughout including modern chrome outlets. Dimmable LED downlights were also fitted in both.
Handmade bespoke furniture was made by a specialist joiner and installed throughout the property and the two existing chimney stacks were swept and inspected before two remote gas fires were installed.
The entire property was re-decorated including all walls, ceilings and woodwork. Fitted furniture and the hand made kitchen was decorated to the paint specification chosen by the designers. All rooms were also furnished with decorative fittings including tables, footstools, sofa and light fixtures.
